MEET

Dr. Michael P. Clarkson, DMD

A native of Gainesville, Dr. Michael Clarkson has always called North Georgia home. He has accomplished a few interesting things in his life, one was becoming a varsity letterman in swimming at North Carolina State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He also hiked the Appalachian Trail from Dahlonega, GA to Hanover, NH before he enrolled at the Medical College of Georgia, where he received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry.

Since graduating, Dr. Michael Clarkson has been providing patients of all ages with exceptional comprehensive dental care. Dr. Clarkson feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. Dr. Clarkson has invested in the latest digital imaging technology as well as a CEREC digital scanner with CAD/CAM technology and is able to provide the most exact and precise restorations ever. This technology also allows for a more comfortable experience for his patients!

Dr. Clarkson & his wife, Ansley, have three children: Quinn, Poppy, and Hank, who keep them very busy!

MEET

Dr. Randal Otis, DMD

Dr. Randal Otis is a proud Lumpkin County native who has remained deeply connected to his roots. A lifelong baseball enthusiast, he played on the varsity team at Lumpkin County High School, where he graduated in 2010. He continued his education at the University of North Georgia, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry in 2014.

Dr. Otis began his dental career as a lab technician before advancing to The Dental College of Georgia (DCG), where he worked as an assistant in the Graduate Prosthodontics Department. His dedication and passion for dentistry led him to pursue a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at DCG. With two years of private practice experience, Dr. Otis further honed his skills by completing an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City College of Dentistry, Truman Hospital, and Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Otis is committed to giving back to his community. He volunteers as the lead dentist at The Anne Green Free Clinic in Dahlonega, providing essential care to those in need. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, spending time hunting, fishing, shooting, hiking, and camping. He also cherishes moments with friends and his German Shorthaired Pointer, Jean.
